Heating, Tigerloop - Frequently Asked Questions |
| » Why is the Tigerloop® completely filled with oil (older model)? |
| » Why is the lower chamber of the Tigerloop® completely filled with oil (new model)? |
» Why does the oil level drop in the filter section of the Tigerloop® Combi? |
| Why is the Tigerloop® completely filled with oil (older model)? |
The level of oil in the Tigerloop® may vary depending on the installation conditions. For example, with an air-tight suction line and air-free oil, where the oil tank is placed higher than the burner, the air pocket in the Tigerloop® will slowly disappear until the chamber is completely filled with oil.
IMPORTANT! This is not a problem. The oil de-aerator is functioning correctly. As conditions change and air enters the system, an air pocket will again form in the Tigerloop® chamber.

| Why is the lower chamber of the Tigerloop® completely filled with oil (new model)? |
The level of oil in the lower chamber of the new Tigerloop® may vary depending on the installation conditions. For example, with an air-tight suction line and air-free oil, where the oil tank is placed higher than the burner, the air pocket in the lower chamber of the Tigerloop® will slowly disappear until the chamber is completely filled with oil.
IMPORTANT! This is not a problem. The oil de-aerator is functioning correctly. As conditions change and air enters the system, an air pocket will again form in the lower chamber of the Tigerloop®.

| Why does the oil level drop in the filter section of the Tigerloop® Combi? |
An air pocket can sometimes form in the filter section of the Tigerloop® Combi. The heating oil is filtered before de-areation and during this process it is possible that some of the air in the oil is retained by the filter, so that an air pocket forms in the filter cup. This is especially noticeable where a large proportion of air is in the oil. This air pocket is the cause to the sinking oil level in the filter cup due to a build up of pressure.
IMPORTANT! This is not a problem. The oil de-aerator and filter are functioning correctly. Because the inside of the filter insert is totally filled with oil, a continuous flow of oil is ensured and operational problems will not occur. |
